Have lived and eaten out in Central London all my life and never written a review, to all reading please take this as an indication of how bad this place is. A favourite of mine until a year ago it has gone terribly downhill. Food was bland and tepid, even the once delicious macaroons are now soapy non-wonders. Plenty of bustle from staff but no service and the manager has a terrible habit of barking queries about how much you are enjoying yourself at you. My parents have also eaten here for years and were very much treated as second class citizens by a deeply unpleasant manager, they weren't given the table they requested and said table sat empty for most of the evening. A second bottle of wine was added to our bill, but in fact it was hard to dislike the waitress who did that because she was the only charming and pleasant aspect of that evening and was deeply apologetic. I would absolutely avoid this place. The food is no more than standard Chinatown fare and at least there you know will know what to expect, do not by any means be fooled by the lighting and fish-tanks, it is professional set design for an amateurish production.
