Nothing but praise for this establishment. Having been to the Riding House Cafe a number of times this year, this place seems to have got the London dining experience spot on.
We arrived at 7.30pm on a Wednesday evening and the place was packed and buzzing, with a thirty something crowd, made up of professionals. We hadn't booked, but luckily there was space on the sharing table in the main room. A word of warning. The table and seats are fixed, with little room to maneuver, so those of a larger frame, may find it uncomfortable for a longer meal.
We ordered most of the Small Plates on offer, as this tapas style of eating works well for informal dinners with friends. Highlights were Pumpkin Fritters, Partridge Terrine, Gressingham Duck and the Pork Belly.
Service was slick and attentive, with recommendations made for food and drinks. Overall, a thoroughly good evening, and the bill was a pleasant surprise too. Highly recommend.
