Over the last 15 months or so, there have been a few changes and The Quince Tree has made the requisite adjustments to accommodate the market. Fine Dining didn't quite succeed probably owing to market forces and perhaps location, but the chef still shows flashes of brilliance with a less ambitious menu, where thankfully flavour is still paramount. TQT have also opened a Café in London, but I am unsure of the format as I have yet to investigate. Mostly seasonal above average fare can be had in Henley as I'd be sure at the City's Clifton Nursery location. Restaurant and deli staff go the extra mile to source special requests. Here I ordered practically all my Christmas food stuffs including poultry (goose, turkey and duck were all superb) together with vac packed wonderfully rich (turkey & rosemary) gravy, spiced red cabbage, bread sauce etc. all freshly made on the premises which made my festive catering pretty much effortless. The deli counter offers prepared single portioned pies, my fav' being steak and ale. Not to be missed is the vegetarian scotch egg, but also plenty to satisfy the sweet-toothed Satisfying take-outs or eat in – neither should disappoint.
