John's review of The Miller of Mansfield

The restaurant has a sophisticated modern design and our party of three experienced a beautifully presented meal, which was very well cooked – the menu offered a good choice and whilst presentation was artistic – in particular the dessert – all portions were of a good size.

Our choice of menu was varied including scallops – three in number, very well cooked and beautifully presented. main courses included lamb, steak and tuna, with the latter always a good test it was cooked to perfection, nicely pink in the centre of the large tune steak and decorateld with crispy noodles. Roasted rhubarb with peanut butter ice cream was an unusual but pleasant desert.

Service by the young staff was good, unobstrusive with a sensible level of enquiry regarding customer satisfaction

This restaurant may not be on the water edge but is within close walking distance of the Thames and offers good value in this locality.

Based upon this experience I would certainly visit this restaurant again and have been very surprised at the content of another very critical review which I have to challenge.
