If it were not for the company this would have been a terribly dismal evening. It started off well with a stylish reception lounge and a sax/piano combo in perfect sync. The eastern European staff were bright breezy and very efficient. This however was as good as it got!
The carpaccio was tasteless, all the more irksome as I was sitting next to a Spanish officiando revelling in their mastery of the breeding and butchery of cows and bulls.
The liver was off the menu and so I was pointed to all the cuts of meat that were related as if that would sooth the disappointment. Liver and steak a strikingly similar choice! I opted for the monkfish, which was tougher than a sailors hands.
The lemon tart should have been a banker but they forgot the lemon! All in all a very poor!
