I love Japanese food and the menu at Nizuni promises tantalising variety. Divided into sections (appetizers, sushi, noodle, mains, etc) you can built a delicious meal experimenting with things you know and love and tastes you've never tried before. At least that's the theory. Our table of 4 began deep fired tofu in sweet broth, edamame, scallops with spinach and peanut sauce, and deep fried aubergine. The vegetable dishes sang with rich flavours, but the scallops were disappointingly dry. We had a number of urumaki rolls, hamachi, avocado, a vegetable futomaki and a veggie sushi plate, all of which were good without being delicious, and our yaki soba dishes were also flavourful. I can't rave about anything, though, which is such a shame, as I'd love to have given Nizumi undiluted praise.
