I used to love this restaurant, but something has gone wrong with it. I've been there twice in the last three weeks. The first time was better – and the fish pie was delicious, one of the best I've ever had. But the service wasn't in the same league as you get in equivalent places such as Sheekeys, le Caprice or Zedel, where the waiters are properly trained and brilliant. I went again yesterday – a Monday – and the place was virtually empty, and the service was just as unimpressive. Sorry to go on about this, but in a restaurant at this level pleasant, professional service is part of what you pay for. The owners should have a look at Corbin and King's restaurants. As for the food, the fish pie was so good the first time that I had it again, but this time it wasn't properly cooked – hot on the outside and luke-warm inside. And it was nearly 17 quid. But being pathetically British, I didn't complain.
