This is a restaurnat that I used to visit on a regular basis but had fallen out of love with due to horrible service and a generally poor attitude from the staff.
However, for the sake of a friend's birthday wish I once again found myself here for dinner along with eight others sitting upstairs.
The food and wine were good, and there were many Spanish delights which tasted like being back in Spain. Even the waiters for the evening were nice and helpful with regard to suggestions. By the end of the evening we had all had a very pleasant time. In fact, I would go as far as saying that I was considering coming back again with the overall evening being good value for money.
However, my fears and experiences returned in the shape of the manager of the restaurant. We had barely finished paying for our meal when all of the lights upstairs were switched on – from nice casual dining to the feeling of being turfed out of a pub without the chance to finish your drink. Perhaps the restaurant was closing, and we had not noticed? But sadly, when were went downstairs it became apparent that this was not the case with the rest of the restaurant being in dining mode and people still sitting at their tables enjoying their wine.
When even the manager is rude to customers it is understandable why the staff can follow. I am not suprised by other reviews, and have no intention of visiting again.
