We visited House of Wolf for my boyfriend's birthday last Saturday. As they don't reveal what's on the menu we had no idea what to expect, and so were a little worried that at £45 a person it was a big risk. However I can honestly say the experience overall was great. The decor and service were excellent. Good wine menu. And the fact that we could stay and party down stairs with a grown up non chavy crowd (hard to find these days!) was a massive plus point.
In terms of the experimental food menu it was certainly very interesting and a completely unique experience for everyone in our group, that I'm sure you're unlikely to get in anywhere but in a Michelin star restaurant with 3 figure bill attached. I won't spoil the surprise for everyone (we were asked not to at the end!) but if I tell you that two of the courses included blindfolds and eating without hands; you get the general idea.
The only criticism from some of the boys in the group was that there wasn't quite enough. However as soon as we raised this, we were given more of the amazingly cooked veal.
Would I come back again? Yes definitely, I'm intrigued to see what the next chef does in November (they have a different pop up chef every month apparently). Its not the kind of place you'd visit every week for dinner, but as a special occasion kinda restaurant its right up there on my list of original eateries in London.
p.s make sure you look out for the secret room!
