We went to the Grand Imperial for a working lunch and were a group of 4.
Our name was taken upon arrival and we were seated. Once seated two other waiters came and checked if we had a reservation.
The food was nice. We went for the 3-course set menu. We had different starters that were all well presented and tasted good. The mains were generous portions, simple presentation, tasty but nothing special – averagely good chinese food. The green tea brulee is an acquired taste and the passionfruit souflee glace was nice and tasted like semifreddo.
Service was efficient but as the only lady at the table I felt a bit dismissed as the waiter (or maybe manager) took drinks orders firstly and only from the guys and all the dishes served at the table were put in front of me last after everyone else.
So overall a good lunch, and good value at £17 per head, but left with a mixed feeling from such a Grand restaurant.
