I have dined here a couple of times and met the young Head Chef Adam when I told him that his food showed flashes of brilliance. [This was before I found out that he would be appearing on Masterchef – he was a finalist.] I can remember being surprised that he produced a stunning beetroot amuse bouche and the rest of the meal followed with some highlights and lower-lights, but on balance it was good. Last time lunch was great included interesting breads and a choice of butters. I opted for a sophisticated roast cauliflower lightly spiced starter which I loved and my other half had the ‘posh’ burger which was more steak than burger, which he thoroughly enjoyed. (Unfortunately my visit was suddenly truncated when called away and left the other half enjoying his lunch.) This chef is exceedingly capable and strives to produce truly good well thought out dishes. At such a young age he is undoubtedly a rising star, with an impeccable palate, coping admirably with the responsibility of such a large dining room . As we often stay in Westminster, it is going to become a place where we will dine regularly.
