We ended up in the Bread Street Kitchen after having some Tuesday night drinks in the sun up at Madison, our 2nd choice restaurant (Barbacoa was full)
We asked behind the bar for a table and were promptly told they were full but we should have a table within 20 minutes so opted to wait.
15 minutes later we were welcomed to a table (having walked past a dozen empty ones) and sat down to peruse the menu. We were then informed that there was no – scallop, cod, bream, trout, duck… unfazed the three of us opted for a steak, only for the waitress to return 5 minutes later to inform us that they only had 2 sirloins steaks left (but we could have a T Bone at £43!)
Our food arrived quickly but unfortunately did not live up to the standard we expected – the steaks were fatty and tasteless and at £28 (not including any sides) were extremely over priced for what really is a very average bistro.
Michelin prices, burger joint food, atmosphere and service. I wouldn't recommend or go back.
