Went to the Covent Garden venue last Saturday the 3rd August, my friend and myself were looking forward to an enjoyable experience similar to others experienced in other Brassiere Blancs.
We were most disappointed my friend ordered the Rb Salmon Fishcake & I ordered the Burger with cheese.
My friends fish cake arrived on a bed of cabbage leaves which were floating in (what I was later informed was Jus) the fishcake cake was wet and most unappetising, not only did the concoction looking unappetiseing it was. I ordered a Burger with added cheese, the burger arrived but was undercooked (I had stressed I wanted it vey well done) minus the cheese, I was only aware that the cheese was not on the burger when I told the waitress that the meat was not cooked enough.
The only thing that was edible was the French fries and my friend and I left the restaurant hungry.
I spoke with Romana the waitress (who I might add was the only saving grace in this whole fiasco) she suggested that we fill out the comment card which we duly did.
As we were leaving the restaurant we were approached by a female manager (Romana had clearly given her the comment card) I told her that we were most disappointed in the food and outlined why, she asked if there was anything that she could do? But she did nothing.
My friend and I had been to this Brassiere before but only to have wine & nibbles and were pleased with the ambiance and relaxed atmosphere that evening, we had decided to try out the food as we intended arranging a business lunch the following week for 7 people, thank goodness we sampled first, we will not be booking this venue.
Our total bill came to £51.35 which included a started of harrissa olives (again not up to standard) 4 beers & 2 filter coffees (did not want to risk ordering the puddings although we were still hungry).
We left a £6:00 tip for Romana she was most helpful and should receive some recognition.
Over all I feel that we were robbed, many of the customers were American Tourist who could like it or lump it as they are passing trade & will not be likely to return.
I did not particularly want to take the time out to write this revewi but felt so strongly about the bad experiance that I did.
