Came here for a quick catch up with an ex colleague on recommendation. We hadn't booked and had an early lunch in the Café, choosing from the Set Menu, which was a very reasonable £19.50 for two courses and slightly more for three. Served by a charming waitress; nothing was too much trouble. My friend had Endive Salad (which she said was dressed in a lovely, light dressing) and I had the ham with celeriac remoullade. Loved the little warm baguette and French butter that was offered, too. I then had just THE best lamb fillet – very tender and full of flavour. My friend had a chicken dish which she said was delicious. We shared a Blackberry Pavlova – light, fluffy with a slightly chewy centre, just as meringue should be – and a beautiful contrastingly sharp tang of berries. We both agreed that at just over £22 per head (including service) it was very good value, and felt like we'd really treated ourselves. Boulestin has a lovely, warm feeling and it would be a great place to go if you were shopping in town, or going to the theatre – it feels special. Couldn't fault the service or the food – I'll be back – and my friend returned just a few days later for dinner!
