It's the second time at Arbutus and as the first I was very pleased. The ambience is more like a bistrot than a starred restaurant, it gets very noisy when it's crowded, no tablecloths. The service is friendly and attentive. The dinner was exquisite: the squid and mackerel ‘burger’ really intriguing, accompanied by a razor clam oceanic sized (where I live – Venice – the razor clams are up max to 10 cm. and tastier), also excellent the black mullet and the cheese. Good though pricy wine, a grenache / viognier that you can buy retail at a fifth. The bill reflects more the bistrot than the Michelin star. As for the wine, there is also an available choice by 250 cl. carafes which allows to vary.
