Vinothec Social is an Italian restaurant and wine bar in Lewisham offering a fun, relaxed and welcoming place for people to eat, drink and socialise in the community. The bar boasts an extensive selection of wines, beers and spirits to make its signature cocktails, while the food menu focuses primarily on pizza, along with a small range of antipasti and pasta dishes.
Sustainability lies at the heart of business and informs its approach to staff and sourcing. All its wines are bio-dynamic, natural varieties which are selected by the team and made from grapes from far-flung vineyards. These are available to sample in its wine bar, or to buy and take home from its wine shop.
Over in the restaurant, Vinothec Social serves slow-proved Neapolitan pizzas made from freshly-made dough. Choose from a selection of ‘red’, ‘white’ and vegan pizzas, including Bacon Jalapeno topped with tomato passata, cubetti mozzarella, parmesan, pancetta and jalapeño, and Steak Chimichurri featuring fior de latte, steak, mushrooms, onions, cherry tomatoes and chimichurri. There is also a small handful of pasta dishes, such as linguine pomodoro, pesto fusilli and sausage and broccoli orecchiette. Or, if you simply fancy something to nibble on with a glass of wine, the menu features a range of sharing platters which are great for two people. Think wooden boards loaded with artisanal Italian cheeses, cured meats and rosemary bread.
Alongside a curated wine list, it also offers a selection of draft beers, ciders, spirits and cocktails. All the Italian classics are present, from Negronis to an Aperol Spritz, alongside plenty of tried-and-tested favourites – think a Margarita and Espresso Martini.
The restaurant also runs killer food and drinks deals throughout the week, from a daily happy hour to bottomless brunch, making it a great spot to head with friends all week long.
