A huge photograph of a bluebell wood brings a surprising rural touch to this thoroughly modern & buzzy Chinese deep in Birmingham’s suits quarter. Not only is the decor stylishly chic – with a bar that’s as much of a destination as the restaurant – but the food is also creative, upmarket & very, very fresh. There’s a lengthy list of dim sum, while main course selections include plentiful vegetarian options as well as paprika-dusted tofu & crispy squid, Dover sole with celery, & onoki beef. It’s impressive to see as much care given to the presentation as the cooking, & prices are reasonable given the setting & aspiring menu. It gets seriously busy so it’s best to book ahead.
