This renovated gastropub backing on to the famous Trent Bridge Cricket Ground is named after two legendary 1930s Nottinghamshire & England players. Although the dining areas & bar can seem rather too open-plan & noisy, the interior has its moments thanks to the retro wallpaper & red leather seating. Alongside real ales, guest beers, an extensive wine list & signature cocktails, is a food offering commitment to seasonal change and quality local produce. The menu includes homely meaty fare such as devilled kidneys on toast in a rich & tangy gravy on top of a chunky slice of toast & mammoth Blackberry Farm sirloin steaks served on a wooden platter with chips cooked in dripping & bearnaise sauce.
