The Plough is a smartly converted Buckinghamshire pub serving up inspired food that makes good use of local & seasonal ingredients. Meals could start with a straightforward chicken & duck parfait, then move on to honey-glazed confit pork belly served with creamed potato & mangetout, & finish with an pear & almond tart. The set lunch menu is good value at £15/£18.75 for 2/3 courses & could include oak-smoked salmon with homemade bread, grilled wild sea trout with lamb’s lettuce & baby corn & vanilla pannacotta with mango coulis. Some 30 wines are offered by the glass or carafe.
