Cast

Thanks to a lottery grant of £1.2m, the Nottingham Playhouse now boasts Cast, a deli, restaurant & cafe bar combo. The look is minimalist rather than showy & the food is similarly no-nonsense. An all-day, tapas-style grazing menu is offered in the bar – anything from haddock & chive fish fingers, or smoked salmon on rye, to various pizzas. The restaurant offers lunchtime sandwiches & salads or more substantial mains such as cod, chips & mushy peas, while dinner brings a good value menu of modern Med dishes such as wild mushroom lasagne & sea bass with mussels & lobster bisque.
