The name speaks of relaxed surroundings & fun decor, & that’s exactly what you'll find here: check out the retro 12-inch album covers on the walls of the loos. The jolly owners, Andy & Chrissy Hill, make you feel like guests in their own home. The emphasis is on organic, locally sourced ingredients, such as Goosnargh chicken & Graythwaite game, & there are always vegetarian choices. The influences are globally eclectic & all the better for it. Stunning bread is from a nearby bakery, the soups, such as spicy parsnip & apple, are always good, & Thai tiger prawns is another popular starter. Among the desserts, written on the mirror, try the chocolate brownies. There's a selection of organic wines & soft drinks &, during the day, an informal menu of coffees, teas & freshly baked cakes.
