Ichiban

Ichiban knocks the socks off Wagamama. Big bowls of noodles – spicy ramen soup, say, topped with slices of char-grilled sirloin steak with fresh chillis, bean sprouts & lime – are teamed up with a small range of wok-fried & curry dishes. Sushi, gyoza & onigiri (rice balls) appear in bento boxes with prawn, salmon & vegetables tempura, for example, or are served as starters or snacks alongside maki rolls, chicken kushiyaki skewers or squid teriyaki.
