Tarn Thai

Several Thai restaurants have opened in Nottingham in recent years, but nothing quite like Tarn Thai, which sizzled into the city’s culinary consciousness during the heatwave of 2006. Located on George Street, in the heart of the Hockley action, the modern, purpose-built building has had a plenty of cash lavished on it, creating a contemporary space complete with water features. The traditional Thai hospitality extends to attentive service & friendly smiles, but it’s the food that sets this place apart, with the kitchen showing a practised hand in dishes such as sun-dried marinated beef or grilled sea-bream in banana leaves. Dishes straight off a charcoal barbecue are popular too & prices reasonable given the setting & quality.
