Housing both a food accessories shop and a cafe, the Lapstone Farm provides both retail and culinary therapy. It’s a happy mix. Owners Simon and Ginny Hudson strive to offer original lifestyle and food products, from dining tables to wine jellies, while the menu of the adjacent cafe reflects their commitment to changing trends. Set in a newly converted barn in the heart of Gloucestershire, the cafe’s high ceilings and spacious interior are conducive to a relaxed and informal dining experience. Hot dishes include gnocchi served with a dolcelatte sauce, toasted pine nuts and wilted rocket. Or try bruschetta topped with black olive tapenade, roasted fennel and goats’ cheese. A children’s menu of smaller portions is also available. Impressive views of the surrounding Cotswolds round out a pleasurable dining and shopping experience.
