Square Meal Review of Farmers Inn ?

Set back from the lane, with far-reaching views across the Somerset Levels, this rambling 16th-century pub boasts super accommodation with seating areas, big brass beds & capacious bathrooms. Beams dominate the bar & you can eat here or in the dining area, which has a polished wood floor & scrubbed pine tables. Start with a retro prawn cocktail or duck liver parfait perked up with apple & ale chutney & herb salad, proceed to rump of lamb with roasted vine tomatoes & spring greens, then finish with rhubarb & raspberry crumble with chilli & rhubarb jelly. Decent wines by the glass; alternatively check out the local ales & cider.

    The most tiniest portions ever seen. Completely over priced. Rubbish. Twice we have been so disappointed. Last July 2009 we went for Friday evening dinner and the service was appalling the portions ridiculously small. This July we went for Saturday lunch, the place was almost empty, and nothing has changed since last July.

    Excellent location, Bit difficult to find, superb atmosphere just what you expect a good quaily village puib to have. Good collection of locals and excellent resturant. Little pricey
