The Seafood Restaurant

Sister establishment to the original Seafood Restaurant in nearby St Monans, this one opened its doors in 2003 & instantly became the place to be seen eating in Fife. That's not only because it is accomplished & multiple-award winning, but also because it takes the form of a modern glass pavilion overlooking the town's West Sands. You see the sea & the beach & passers-by see you. Executive chef Craig Millar oversees both restaurants & the menu here could offer three courses of simple smoked salmon with red onions, capers, & lemon oil to start; then pan-seared fillet of cod with confit potatoes, crushed truffle peas, & romesco sauce; creme brulee with plum compote & hazelnut tuile for dessert – plus some non seafood options too. There's a wine list you'll want to take time over (around 15 whites at £25 or under) & a very focused professionalism front of house. Fife has other fine restaurants but nowhere that offers anything quite as sharp & metropolitan as this.
