The Oriental Bar & Restaurant makes much of its ambitious menu, bringing Malaysian (hot & sour red snapper goring, sambal chicken), Thai (pad Thai, mussaman pork curry) & Chinese cuisines (salt & chilli soft shell crab, lamb with black bean sauce) under one roof. A special emphasis is placed on Malaysian influences & dishes are presented in an upmarket European manner & priced accordingly. But as well as the a la carte, there’s a reasonably priced lunch bar menu available from noon until 5pm, which offers quick bites (oriental tapas such as samosas & spring rolls) noodles, noodle soups, rice & salads, with a set lunch for £5.95.
