Phil Kember & Claire Jones opened this fine-food emporium in the heart of the city’s West End in 2004. It’s a temptingly stocked deli-cum-cafe (which only uses ingredients they sell in the shop) & the menu changes daily depending on what’s good & what’s in season. Breakfast might run to waffles & fresh berries or ham & gruyere croissants, there are gorgeous homemade scones & cakes (giant meringues are popular, as are mini chocolate tarts), while lunch brings goodies such as Morroccan vegetable soup with apricot couscous, pumpkin, feta & black olive salad, charcuterie & cheese platters, & superior sandwiches made with organic bread.
