The former Victorian bank opposite the railway station makes a great venue for a simple, no-fuss meal of authentic Italian food, with all the trademarks you’ve come to expect from this lively Italian chain. Antonio Carluccio is famous for his love of funghi, so expect to find mushroom risotto on the menu, as well as pastas, meaty dishes like osso bucco, great breads & imaginative salads, plus classics like panna cotta & tiramisu among desserts. You can also buy some takeaway goodies from the deli, which, with beautifully packaged olive oil & Italian specialities, is a great source of foodie presents, too.
