More fast-food takeway than restaurant, but its handful of tables make a cool retreat from more intense sushi bars. As the Japanese chefs prepare your hand-rolled maki in the open-plan kitchen, the brilliant white interior reinforces a fresh and healthy message, with added glamour from a glittering chandelier and added technicolour from blown-up photo blocks. Ever helpful staff steer you through the roto, nigiri, gunkan, and sashimi. The chill cabinet has ready-made sushi sets (vegetarian, fish or mixed) and salads (hoisin duck and noodles, tuna, beans and wild rice). Alongside the wine list there’s saki, Japanese beers, green tea, smoothies or Tzu, a health drink from the Far East. Champagne and cocktails are available at Epernay next door, and they have Si Sushi on the menu.
