Square Meal review of Fusions:
Very much a freshman to the High Wycombe dining scene, this city-centre restaurant appears to have won a loyal following for its fusion style cooking. On paper, combinations can look a tad uncomfortable, witness loin of venison with poached pear, star anise, wilted greens, celeriac puree and chocolate pepper oil, yet most of the dishes work well (roast organic pork with apple jus and black pudding). There’s adventure to be had for sure – don’t miss out on the tatin of pear with oxford blue cheese – though that feeling doesn’t quite extend to the non-descript decor.
