Kevin Viner was the first ever chef in Cornwall to win a Michelin star at his former restaurant Pennypots & many locals & holiday-makers sorely missed his beautifully crafted cooking when it closed. Now casual & informal are the watchwords, as Viner has turned his back on fine dining, delivering instead simply constructed dishes that rely on first-rate local fish & shellfish, Cornish lamb & beef. The venue: a bar-cum restaurant housed in a former pub just off the A30, some nine miles from Truro.
