Square Meal Review of Viner's Bar and Restaurant ?

Kevin Viner was the first ever chef in Cornwall to win a Michelin star at his former restaurant Pennypots & many locals & holiday-makers sorely missed his beautifully crafted cooking when it closed. Now casual & informal are the watchwords, as Viner has turned his back on fine dining, delivering instead simply constructed dishes that rely on first-rate local fish & shellfish, Cornish lamb & beef. The venue: a bar-cum restaurant housed in a former pub just off the A30, some nine miles from Truro.

    Enjoyed an excellent meal at Viners. Very good food, lovely atmosphere, good service and friendly staff. Good value for money too!

    The Sunday Roast was absolutely delicious! I don't know whether it was the meat, the potatoes or the extra veg..it was sumptuous and scrumptious and there was certainly no room for dessert!

    Not cheap but you actually wouldn't need to eat again that day!
