Longridge Restaurant

Paul Heathcote’s flagship restaurant has been completely refurbished & is looking better than ever, providing a great setting for some simple but full-bodied cooking. The menu travels the British Isles, delivering cream of Jerusalem artichoke soup with truffle oil, ahead of braised oxtail with creamed potatoes, roasted roots & ale sauce on the good-value lunch menu (two courses for £19.50). While salad of black pudding teamed with egg, ham hock & chive hollandaise, scallops braised in tarragon broth, & roast Goosnargh duck with beetroot, spiced apples, chestnuts & cider potatoes are stars of the evening set menu (five courses for £45).
