Opened in July 2002, The Riverside is housed within Britain’s largest contemporary art gallery outside the capital. Boasting plentiful foliage & extraordinary views of the Tyne & Millennium Bridges, the restaurant offers a good mix of red meat, poultry, seafood & vegetarian dishes, with the emphasis on hearty, European food. Starters such as asparagus with balsamic vinegar can be followed by the shellfish linguini & have garnered The Riverside a faithful legion of fans. A winning concoction of masculine furniture, super minimal white decor & views to die for makes this unique restaurant definitely worth a visit.
