Surprisingly underrated but very elegant Georgian town house hotel. The formal Regency dining room conjures up 1920s glamour, & serves an imaginative & international menu along the lines of grilled chorizo, mild chilli risotto & red wine vinaigrette to start, followed by fillet of cod steamed in banana leaf, with fennel, lime noodles & lemongrass cream sauce & poached spiced pear, blue cheese ice cream and pear chips for afters. It’s all supported by a relatively comprehensive wine list.
