The designers have been in since Lord Byron spent his honeymoon here, creating an impressively chic space, decked out with white walls, rich maroon suede & chenille seating, & the crispest of white table linen. Unobtrusive service & an upmarket menu from Stephen Smith, featuring the likes of chicken, sweatbread and foie gras mosaic with truffled mascarpone ahead of confit Goosnargh duck leg with carrot purée, bok choi and red wine, followed by passion fruit and mango ravioli with coconut sorbet, also reflect the restaurant’s well-placed confidence.
