An uninspiring outside belies a deeply sophisticated interior with cuisine to match at this distinctly un-run-of-the-mill restaurant. The menu offers a broad range of ingredients with lunch bringing and informal roll call of sandwiches, pizzas & pasta, while dinner is full of curiosities like spring rolls with pineapple-chilli dunking sauce or goats’ cheese samosas, with international mains including tournedos of salmon sitting alongside paella Valencia with chicken, chorizo, mussels & jumbo prawns. Desserts continue the globetrotting theme with coconut & cardamom rice pudding complete with pineapple & coriander syrup – though if you want a real kick, try the blackberry & vodka sorbet with soft fruits.
