Flowers, candles and crisp white napery set the traditional tone in the Lamb's restaurant. Owner/chef Paul Barnard offers a beguiling blend of well-managed dishes, many of which are traditional too. Chicken liver pate, beefsteak and kidney pie, rack of English lamb, veal kidney in mustard sauce, and grilled dover sole, raspberry creme brulee and bakewell tart are typical. You can also eat in the bar or, in fine weather, on the pleasant garden patio.
