Square Meal review of Aqua:
Bristol has successfully combined the hip and the historic at its rejuvenated waterfront where bands, bars, clubs and cafes beat out the sound of a young scene. Aqua is one of a string of such waterside venues offering a contemporary bar-cum-brasserie. A broad sweep of competently executed but unpretentious dishes (warm crispy duck and noodle salad, or lemon and coriander chargrilled chicken breast) is served in stylish, modern surrounds with an excellent bar and summer alfresco area. A stone’s throw from the Old Vic and a handy bolt hole either side of theatre-going.
