A wonderfully preserved 16th-century pub, complete with cosy nooks and crannies, antique furnishings and log fires in winter. Whilst the excellent selection of real ales is the real show-stopper, there's also plenty of gastronomic excitement on offer. Hearty pies and casseroles offer comfort in colder months, whilst simply prepared seafood is a favourite in the summer garden. Save space for the legendary treacle tart.
