Elaborate cooking, wonderful views & a lavish decor all compete for attention in this gem of a country house restaurant. The kitchen offers assured modern British dishes such as warm terrine of crisp belly pork & sweetbreads with mushrooms, sea bass stuffed with scallops, & spiced duck breast with apple galette, duck confit tortellini, roast foie gras & honey sauce. Specially commissioned Paul Hodges' paintings complement the gold & burgundy tones of the dining room, where a glass wall opens up towards the green lawns & cedar trees in summer.
