the clatter of an open-plan kitchen would probably blot out those conspiratorial chats anyway. Service can be hit & miss, but the unfussy menu delivers a raft of please-all staples such as
prawn cocktail, fish & chips, bangers & mash & rib-eye steak with chips. The wine list is excellent value, with plenty by the glass & half-bottle.
