The Wild Duck Inn

A traditional 15th-century Elizabethan inn, The Wild Duck has all the characteristic features: log fires in the bar, oak panelling in the dining room & oil portraits of English ancestors on the walls. The daily changing menu offers a wide choice, ranging from smoked haddock fishcakes & Gloucester Old Spot ham salad to roast chicken stuffed with sun blushed tomatoes & pine nuts, with fresh fish direct from Brixham, organic meats from the Highgrove Estate, & some excellent game in winter. Friendly staff, alfresco dining in summer, & an extensive drinks list, with an imaginative selection of wines & several real ales, also contribute to the pleasurable experience.
