Square Meal review of Blanch House Restaurant:
Straight from the late 90s school of restaurant design, this minimalist affair, with white leather banquettes, white walls & stripped floors, is regularly packed out, particularly at the weekend. But it’s not just the look of the place that the hipsters come for: the food is carefully crafted, eclectic, innovative & sophisticated. Dishes follow the lines of tagliatelle with crab & shellfish bisque followed by coq au vin with seared foie gras, rounded off perhaps with chocolate tart & espresso ice-cream. Don’t miss a pre- or post-dinner drink in the funky 70s-style bar.
