Square Meal review of Suma's:
A refreshing change from your usual over-themed coastal eatery, this harbourside restaurant boasts a cool, contemporary interior. Light in abundance (and stunning views, of course) shines through the massive windows, while modern art breaks up the white-washed walls to good effect. Cooking, too, shows competent use of contrasts. Start with local scallops with white bean purée, home-cured bacon & a citrus reductions, go on to breast of duck with citrus caramelized fennel, confit stuffed potatoes & spiced tomato sauce, & finish with poached mandarin set in a pecan crumble with mandarin foam. Ambience is surprisingly cosmopolitan, as is the New World-focused wine list. Lovely terrace for summer alfresco.
