King's College Chapel towers above this humble but very healthy hideaway; definitely the Cambridge vegetarian restaurant, without being pushy about it. Salads such as goats’ cheese or pasta & rice are wonderfully fresh, great with one of several varieties of garlic bread – try the sun-dried chilli. Wild mushrooms are cooked in a rich herb & cream sauce & wrapped in puff pastry sprinkled with sesame seeds, or there could be brown rice risotto pestolino. Specials boards list daily soups, dishes of the day & irresistible baked goodies such as carrot cake, brownies & vegan cheesecake. All wines, beer & cider are vegan & organic. No bookings.
