Square Meal review of The Olive Tree:
Occupying the basement of the Queensberry Hotel, The Olive Tree may be subterranean but this is no dark & moody bistro – the room is light & contemporary with a smart feel. Although Stephen Ross sold the hotel in 2003, new owners have retained the trademark simplicity & sunny Mediterranean flavours of the cooking style – say ravioli of chicken cooked in red wine with lardons, mushrooms & roast onions, followed by pan-fried fillet of Cornish brill with mussel minestrone & finishing up with orange pannacotta with mango & passion fruit.
