Very tucked away behind both Deansgate & Quay Street, this longstanding, atmospheric basement bar comes with retro decor right down to the bullfighting posters & blackboard scrawled with specials. A casa from casa for off duty Spanish waiters to watch Real Madrid games on satellite TV, but popular with the Manchester crowd, too; it gets very lively at weekends – expect to queue for a table. Large selection of standard issue tapas: albondigas, patatas bravas, chorizo al vino, paella, gambas, pulpo, pinchos (some good, some less so), but excellent value for money.
