Square Meal Review of The Dhabba ?

Named after the family-run roadside diners that can be found across North India, this stunning take on a traditional ‘dhabba’ dresses up the notion with a mix of vibrant colour schemes, luxuriant greenery and massive photos. The kitchen puts its faith in top-notch ingredients, authentic cooking techniques and traditional recipes, although there's also a healthy low-fat edge to the food. Tandooris, tikkas and char-grills lead off proceedings with everything from chicken and lamb to chunks of monkfish or whole black bream, and there’s a special section devoted to 'dum pukt' dishes based on the princely tradition of cooking in sealed pots (try king prawns in a rich sauce with caramelised onions and cinnamon). There are also intriguing renditions of familiar curries such as chicken dupiaza and achari gosht, plus a fine selection of vegetables and breads.
