It's on Pitt Street, in the city centre, that you'll find Glasgow's Alla Turca Restaurant - Grill Mezze Bar live music restaurant. There really isn't anywhere else like it, particularly because it's a live music restaurant. Every night from 6pm, the mixed crowd eat settle into the modern space to the lively sounds of the saz, a traditional Turkish guitar. Come the weekend, dancers accompany the musicians to create quite a show. Lots of dishes to choose from, starting with traditional (kizir - peppers, parsley, cous cous, nuts, £3.95) to modern (baked figs stuffed with cheese, £4.50) meze. Mains are also divided into traditional and more contemporary dishes. Seafood and veg dishes too. Nice touches include Turkish Delight and digestif with the bill.
